Re: Holy Priest - (Accepted) [ Started by Lilija in Recruitment : 6 replies ]

Hi Saz!

I think Skrittuu vouching for her should say plenty. Saz is equal parts friendly and weird so I'm sure her personality would fit right in with our raiding team.

I've also seen her healing improve by leaps and bounds over the time that I got to know her. Been doing mythic + with her recently and so far we've managed several 3 chest +6-7 runs. Our last run was a 2 chest +9 which we did yesterday. I think this is pretty impressive considering the gear she has.

So yeah its also a big fat vouch from me.

Re: Rhinsler Demon Hunter - (Accepted) [ Started by MrPirkko in Recruitment : 4 replies ]

Just pretend that this application has proper spacing, grammar and spelling tongue Been on skype with this guy a couple of times now and he seems like a nice guy. Also did a few HCs with him Remo and Skrittuu and he also seems like he's a pretty decent player.

Nice + decent = invite? wink

Re: Saceranaku Demon Hunter DPS - (Declined) [ Started by Saceranaku in Recruitment : 6 replies ]

Hi George, thanks for the application. Have you tried Demon Hunter on beta? I'm wondering if you are certain that you will enjoy it and won't get bored with it after a month or so. Do you have another class you will play if you don't like it during the pre patch?

Re: Bingz - Mage Application - (Accepted) [ Started by ru5kii in Recruitment : 11 replies ]

Me and Ramzi did a pug with him and heard he was looking for a guild so we sent him here. Seems like a really relaxed and friendly guy. With his gear and experience I'm happy to vouch for him.

Should tell you though that we dont have enough people for mythic so it will be heroic only. Not sure how you feel about that.

Re: Ponchi - Enhancement Shaman - (Accepted) [ Started by Ponchi in Recruitment : 11 replies ]

Hi Josh! Great application man. This guy is an awesome old school raider and I will happily vouch for him.

Re: Ramzi Fury/Prot Warrior - (Accepted) [ Started by Cronoz in Recruitment : 4 replies ]

I sense some hostility! Regardless I have already been bribed to vouche for him so yeah.

Might as well give this guy a spot I doubt he will disappoint wink

Character Name: Montie
Class: Monk
Armory Link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/a … tie/simple
Country: Holland
Age: 29

   1) Tell us about yourself.

Hello my name is Jan-Kees Geersing. I am a 29 year old from sunny Holland. I've studied history and am currently in my last year to get my teachers degree as an elementary school teacher. Currently I also work part time in our family museum (yup those exist) where I give guided tours, city tours, work behind the bar and manage the website.

I love gaming and have been doing so for as long as I can remember. As a gamer I'm mostly addicted to RPGs, wether they are MMO or singleplayer. I'm sure there are some among you who share my love for the old school rpgs like Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale and recently Pillars of Eternity. Other games I enjoy are Diablo 3, Civ, Dota 2 and recently Heroes of the Storm.

When not gaming I have a young dog who takes up a lot of time. Most of the ideas for my classes are acquired while walking my dog Simo. So yes long walks on the beach are something I enjoy, just dont bother me because chances are I'l be deep in thought while making them smile

   2) Tell us about your previous guild(s). Why are you looking for a new home?

My last guild was Fatality, a guild we ran with three real life friends. We started this guild during cataclysm as a way to get back into raiding and as a way to introduce one of the three into raiding and wow in general. We had a great run during cataclysm being one of the better guilds on the server getting many realm seconds, thirds and one first. When Pandaria hit we were excited at first but the sheer amount of dailys and grind in general really ruined the fun. We finished Mogu'shan Vault but after that decided it was time for a break. Most of our members either stopped as well or found new guilds. From our officer team only one other person is still playing and he has found a new guild. I dont think I can revive Fatality on my own and as such I am looking for a new home.

   3) How long have you been playing WoW?

Since vanilla and I've been raiding almost as long. I started out as a very confused shaman, completely new to the holy trinity that wow is built on. Imagine my suprise when I heard I had to heal instead of shooting stuff with lightning! I've been tanking and raid leading since the Burning Crusade.

During Vanilla I cleared everything and did everything up to nax 40 as that shaman.

During Burning Crusade I started tanking on my paladin this was also my first introduction into raid leading first just for our Karazhan group and later also for the main raids.

During Wrath of the Lich King I rerolled to a DK also as a tank. During this expansion I also leveled the missing tank classes, Warrior and Druid.

During Cataclysm I stayed on that DK and raided with Fatality.

   4) How long have you been playing the character you applied with?

This monk is newly made with the free level 90 boost. I played monk for my brief time in Pandaria both during beta and as our guilds main tank, I believe I was the third monk to hit 90 on our server. My experience as dps monk is mostly from 5 mans.

   5) How long do you intend to keep on playing (this character)? Do you want to keep playing this
spec? If not, what do you want to play? Are you proficient in a second spec?

I am fine with playing wathever is needed, I just dont have much experience as a healer as my last time healing was during Vanilla. My dps experience is mostly from our off spec raids.

   6) Tell us about your typical "spell rotation".

Mostly a priority system but here it goes smile

Brewmaster

Chi generation: Keg Smash > Expel Harm (if the heal is meaningfull) > Jab
Chi spending: Blackout Kick (if shuffle is about to drop) > Purifying Brew (if in medium or heavy stagger range) > Guard > Blackout Kick > Purifying Brew (light stagger)
Filler: Tiger Palm (using this at the start of a fight and then whenever energy is low will keep the buff active)
Pull mechanic: Dizying Haze
Cooldowns: Fortifying Brew, Elusive Brew and Dampen Harm.

Windwalker

Chi generation: Jab > Expel Harm (if the heal is meaningfull)
Chi spending: Touch of Death (under 10%) > Rising Sun Kick > Tiger Palm (if the buff is about to drop) > Fists of Fury (timed with a 10 stack tiger eye brew as much as possible) > Combo Breaker procs > Blackout Kick
Fillers: Chi Wave on CD > Flying Serpent Kick
Offensive CDs: Tiger Eye Brew, Invoke Xuen, Serenity, Energizing Brew
Defensive CDs: Fortifying Brew, Touch of Karma, Dampen Harm, Zen meditation

   7) Provide a relevant raid combatlog of your character in World of Logs or WarcraftLogs.

Afraid I dont have any old logs.

   8) What are your goals in WoW?

To have fun with friends and to be the best I can be.

   9) Where do you find your fun in the game, do you have a "hobby" ingame?

Raiding has always been the most fun for me. If I have a hobby ingame its probably pet battles, what can I say I used to be a huge pokemon fan when I was younger smile

  10) What are your raiding experiences, also from previous expansions?

Didnt do much during pandaria. In the other expansions I've cleared pretty much everything. During most of my time I played as tank and raid leader.

  11) Do you have any notable alts?

Heres the armory links for my DK and old monk

DK: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/k … e/advanced
Old monk: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/k … e/advanced

  12) What do you expect of your new guild?

Just to have fun and progress during raids. I was also told there would be punch and pie (blame Jeyne).

  13) What do you think your attendance will be if we offer you a raiding spot in Phalanx? Do you
have any personal obligations which would interfere with our raid times?

My attendance should be close to 100%. On rare occasions I may have a group in the museum but its rare to have those in the evening.

  14) What do you know about Phalanx, and why do you want to join exactly our guild?

I know a few people from Phalanx from Diablo and Heroes of the Storm. Other than that I just know that you have been around for a long time. A guild with that kind of stability sounds like a good place to be.

  15) What kind of computer and connection do you have?

I play on a gaming notebook. Heres the specs.
CPU: I7 3720QM 2,6 GHz
Ram: 16 GB
GPU: Nvidia GTX 680M

The internet is 50 mbit.

Ingame I run on ultra with a steady 50-60 FPS and around 20 MS

  16) Is there someone in our guild who could support your application?

I've known Jeyne since we were 5 or so. Other than that I've played some Diablo with Moon and Noobylicious (sorry guys I dont know your wow tags smile.

  17) Tell us a joke!

Do not be racist; be like Mario. He's an Italian plumber, who was made by the Japanese, speaks English, looks like a Mexican, jumps like a black man, and grabs coins like a Jew!
